Goodbye Athens - Hello Brussels

DAY 13

As early as 6 am, kitaorg dah ready dah tunggu our airport pickup. Since this our first airbnb we leave 1/7 boomerang for our host as a token of appreciation. Ehehhee..

Haaa.. ingatkan ryanair tu hantar alaaa shuttle bus ke apa untuk pick up. Rupanya only taxi. Ahahhaa.. tergelak kejap. Taxi yg kitaorg ckp Mercedes ke bmw in Athens. Dapat jugak lah kitaorg merasa.

Along the way sgt lawa view sunrise in Athens. Cant help myself to snap it. Ye lah bukan senang nak dapat sunrise. Usually keluar bila dah cerah. For safety purposes. How I miss sunrise in aussie ttbe2. Ehheheee

Okay sampai2 kat airport nak drop baggage. Nie lah time cuak nye. Aishah punya lebih by 3 kg so she has to take some more and put dalam hand luggage, time  to weight my bag plak. Dup dap dup dap! Berdegup jantung ahahaha, kalau kena keluar lagi masak ah. Mana nak sumbat dah. Haaa.. nasib just nice 19.3kg. Alhamdulillah. Lega! Dia punya orang counter pown sgt tak brape nak friendly. Mcm org malas kije pown ada. Nak main tolak ke dalam je. Pastu, we make our way to find our gate. Ahahhaa.. bayangkan mula2 kitaorg lost! Ahahhaa.. salah masuk gate. Nasib orang tu explain rupanya kena g gate B03-31. Ehhehee.. bila check bru lah. Haaa korunk rasa macam mana x lost kalau boarding pass macam nie je. Ehehhee…  rupanya dorunk tak sure pown lagi gate mana flight kitaorag. Boleh tak? So kena lah tunggu since we a bit early. We end up duduk dalm 10-15 mins and make our way to checkup nye tempat alaaa yg scan2 bag tu. Masing2 pakai beanies je. Masa nak scan ada ke patot suh buka. Memang tak leyh lah kan? Even me yg pakai inner ninja. Dah macam kecoh kejap panggil guard pompuan. Then guard pompuan baik sikit. Ada satu macam box room masuk dalam tu dengan dorunk and just open je. That’s all and u are set to go.

Finally we jumpa our gate 30 to Brussels. Agak sengal jugak lah dah duduk2 then dia suruh bangun and start que-ing balilk sebab dia nak check bag size. Boleh tak? Me and aishah dah cuak. And sgt strict to 2 bag je. Kalau ada another plastic bag beli kat airport pown tak boleh kena sumbat dlm the 2 hand luggage. And also handbag dikira one bag okay. Jacket pegang pown kalau tak nak pakai dia suruh masuk dlm bag. Ya ampun dia punya leceh. Sebab dia mmg dah tulis only certain size of bag je boleh lepas. If not kata lebih sikit pown kena jugak bayar 50euro. Ada satu mamat nie sampai argue and all. Kesian jugak lah.macam leceh. If I have a choice to naik this may be not. Ahahaa.. I mean I know low cost tapi mcm too much kowt. I mean kalau betul luggage tu besar sgt ke kat scan2 tu boleh je gtau. Then who knows kan boleh je org tu beli bag lain ke and tinggal the big bag kat kawan dia sebab bukan tak de kedai bag kat situ. Nie part2 last minute ko buat org marah. Memang sumpah seranah ah orang dgn d flight.

So people, take note and learned the lesson! Okay then we naik shuttle to the plane.  Dah boarding baru lah tau kenapa sgt strict. Mana luggage yg over the size kena stay kat bawah and masuk kat luggage compartment. Kat tempat atas tu memang kecik giler cukup2 size luggage yg ditetapkan. And why memang max 2 je perperson sebab memang tak cukup tempat. Kitaorg masuk pown dah nearly penuh. So end up dapat selit one bag kecik je. itu  pown dekat compartment blakang2 sikit and bag pack masing2 letak bawah seat je kat kaki. Tempat duduk dia pown kecik sgt cukup2 je. I get the window seat. Ehehhee… As usual mana2 low cost airlines mesti kalau nak snack ke merchandise ke semua ada dlm catalogue. Nie catalogue pown tak d kat seat kitaorg. Literally ada meja utk mkn itu pown goyang2 dah ahahaa..

 The flight took us about 4 hours. I think I fall asleep kejap je. Then bangun main game tgk luar window. Although dia kata aka nada turbulence but tak rasa sgt pown. Pandai jugak lah captain dia. Then most of the time I was amaze looking at the clouds. Ada one area tu I could see all the mountain with snow.. seriously amazing and beautiful. Slalu tgk dalam movie je. Then tak lama pastu kat tingkap kitaorg dah mcm ada snow sikit. Ahahaa.. excited je kitaorg. Ye lah kan winter season now. Althought we are well aware in Brussels belum snow. Entah ada ke tak snow pown kitaorg tak tahu. For now only hopes tak hujan je.

So dah sampai tu memang sejuk okay.. masuk2 dalam terminal je first gi claim baggage sebab memang dah plan nak sumbat balik apa extra yg kitaorg bawa kat dalam bag besar. Senang nnt main tarik je. Ehehhee… dah dapat bag terus buka and exit. No declaration needed. Owh kat sini, masa kat imi, dengar org immi tu tanya from? Me dengan confident jawab Athens rupanya tanya from where means Malaysia. Ahahhaa.. tak pasal mengaku jd org Athens kejap. Ahahaha.. sampai org immi tup own dari muka serious tahan nak senyum.. ehhehee…

Keluar2 kan banyak plak abg askar kat airport Brussels nie. Rupanya al kisah orang yg letup2 paris nie dah lari kat sini. So takut airport dorunk plak jd mangsa. Hurm cuak jugak lah bila pikir, tapi tawakallah. Insyaallah kami di bawah lindungan Allah.

So lepas Aishah settle beli simcard kat sini we terus cari tempat nak naik shuttle bus. Kena lah beratur. My first impression once we on the road. Okay tempat nie cantik! Compare to Athens. I just already fall in love with the view. Masyaallah cantik dgn pemandangan alaaaa country side. Sometimes macam new Zealand pown ada so greeny! I would definitely love to bring mama here one day.

When we at the bus station plak. Baru Nampak so many muslim lady pakai tudung lagi. Byk giler lah. We tried to but tickets and try jadi bus stop for bus no 27. Tak jumpa and in the end we tanya this one lady berhijab. Dia baik sangat. Masyaallah. Last2 dia tunjuk kitaorg like lead us the way sampai Nampak lah bus no 27 tu. But terlepas sebab tak beli ticket. Ahahaaa.. nak beli ticket satu hal sebab machine dia satu hape tak paham. Tak d English langsung. Dah pusing2 gamble je tunggu bus driver. Ahahaa bus driver baik and rupanya boleh je beli tickets dalam bus. It cost us 2.50 euro each one way.

Dah sampai tu, tengok2 simcard aishah still tak work. Omg we so frustrated. Nasib tau dah kat mana nak turun semua yet we don’t know the way sebab tak leyh guna google map. So while im waiting kat walkway tu Aishah masuk a restaurant call the Picnic to asked for directions. Baik jugak sebab the give aishah to used the wifi to screen shot the map and kitaorang pown keep on walking down the road. Ada jugak lalu kedai kebab halal and still cant find the exact road to the house. Its like so near yet so far. Macam tu lah. Dah le lapar. So we thought apa kata makan dulu while waiting for the number to be activated.

Bila dapat giler ah byk msg dr host rumah airbnb tu msg and ttbe dia dah muncul kat dalam kedai sebut nama aishah. Elok kitaorg abes makan. Hurm mula2 dia macam pissed sikit. May b sebab dia preggy and ada something else to do. Rasa bad plak. Tapi bukan sengaja kitaorg nak lambat. Well we new to the place anyway. Masuk2 nak kena naik tangga kecik pusing2. Hurm agak mengah jugak lah nak angkut bag berat kitaorg. Sampai atas me dah mengah. Nasib boleh jugak lah gagah tarik sikit2. Moga this bag last until me balik Malaysia! Ahhahaa…

Our room in BRUSSELS

Haaaa dah tu sampai kat atas ada plak anjing. Rupanya its her anjing. Owh our host airbnb nama dia DOROTHEE. Dia preggy dah 8 months. And may b due on 10 january. Ahahhaa.. yeay Capricorn baby. Sama lah geng with me. Ahahha tetibe. Rupanya mak dia pown 11 january. Ahahaha.. haaa. Knowing me memang penakut lah kan dengan anjing. Lagi lah dia excited nak keliling. So aishah cakap buat rilex je. Betul lah tips aishah ahaha. Rupanya anjing and kuda boleh rasa heartbeat kita. Lagi kita dup dap lagi dia excited.

Dorothee was so nice to write all the good restaurants and chocs or waffles places we could explore. Dia siap sediakan map lagi and all the must go place for us to visit. Bila malam sikit her hubby aka bf jugak ahahha..kitaorg pown confused datang to hidupkan heater kat ruang tamu so we warmer. Ehehhee..  baik sangat! She used to stay at the house for 10 years and pindah sebab nak ada bigger family.

Bila malam our housemate which another two ladies who on a visit balik. They from London. Well they work London. One from hong kong and another from hungary. Baik. We end chit chat 4 orang at the ruang tamu sampai all of us mengantuk. Sangat best buat kawan baru. Macam2 kitaorg borak. Dari topic makan katak, kangaroo, snail and rabbit. Ahahhaa…ke topik how lifestyle in London would be. Ehehee…

That’s it how our first day in Brussels. Esok long day exploring the Brussels city. Walk and walk and walk. Semua pown walking distance. Cant wait!
