Exploring the city of Ancient Greek

DAY 10

Today baru nak all out pusing Athens, smalam macam rest day so tak pegi mana2 sangat. More to adapting my body with the surrounding and the temperature sangat different obviously dengan Abu Dhabi or Dubai. Pagi2 kitaorg buka one pack of food. Haaa bernasi lemak lah kami di Athens. Ehehe.. not bad actually. Sambal sedap. Sape yg nak travel mcm kitaorg boleh ah beli and bawa. Totally recommend it. Sambal dia banyak. So boleh simpan makan untuk mlm with nasi kitaorang. Ehhehee…

Hari nie sbb nak jalan2, gagah jugak pakai bunga2 atas kepala nie. Beli memang semata untuk tempat nie. Athens.. ye lah its very ancient history punya feeling., so obviously kena amik mood. Ahaha.. alaaa the goddest zaman dulu. Baju je tak leh nak flare2 putih. Ahahhaaa…

Pagi2 we dah jumpa dengan this 3 indonesian aunty and uncle. Dorunk pown datang holiday. Tapi dorunk tak lama, esok dorunk dah g SANTORINI.. uwaaa best nye.. berangan je lah daku nak g Santorini. Ahahaha… they said it’s a bit expensive. Owh well tak pe lah.. may b next time. Borak2 lupa plak nak snap picture ngan dorunk.

Dekat tempat AirBnb nie paling dekat dengan Hop on hop off stop would be no 13. The irony kan.. hehee my birthdate! Weee… mcm our owner smalam cakap kalau sesat cakap nak g Hotel Stanley. She said everyone knows it. NOTED. Bila travel at least kena tahu landmark.

Our firt stop would be the ACROPOLIS. One of the main attraction in Athens. Ingat free free je nak masuk amik gambar. Rupanya kena jugak purchase ticket entrance to go to the top. Cost me around 12 euro. Kalau ada student card only 6 euro. Ye lah budak pandai.. g tinggal student card dlm bad rabbit sebab last minute arie tu keluarkan kat airport. Uwaa… tak pe lah I guess I have to get used in being charge as an ADULT. No longer a student pown. Ticket nie valid 4 days and utk 7 tempat attraction which I don’t know what? Ehehee…

Kat sini careful sikit tau, sebab banyak makcik2 yg akan approached and offer nak jadi tour guide. Their selling point would be they will tell us everything about Athens more on the history side of the attractions and you can asked anything they can answered. Haaaa kita ingat aww baiknya kan.. skali cekik darah cost you up to 100 euro.hurm mmg no thank you terus ah jawabnya. Mana nak datang 100 euro. Tapi dia cakap if tak nak berdua boleh je tunggu orang lain if example ada anotha 2 couple ke yang nak join so each bayar 25 euro je. Still no thank you. Bila korunk tolak je dia start bargain ok kasi 75 for two or like us sampai 50 euro for two people. Nampak tak permainan dia? As for me I don’t have extra so wpun mcm best ada org cite2 but nahhh.. duit ku lebih important untuk makan and survival.

So nak naik nie menapak sikit tau.. ,meaning menbukit. Acro means Upper and Polis means city. So its and upper city. Memang from mana2 around the city boleh Nampak acropolis nie terpacak atas bukit nie. It used to be a defense buiding. May be kalau orang nak attack ked r atas nie dah nampak. Lagi surprise when banyak sangat pakcik and makcik tua yg old age ada dengan tongkat pown naik atas nie. Gagah sangat okay. KAGUM okay… sangat kagum. So its not an excused for youngsters yg malas nak naik atas nie… but I can tell you its worth the view. I mean if you looking fwd to see the ancient history punya building lah.

Atas nie as you can see some part of the building ada construction. Tak sure actually if they try to rebuild it or just try to sustain the acropolis from falling or destruction.

Right beside the acropolis is the Parthenon. Parthenon nie one interesting facts about zaman dulu, it used to be a MASJID. Cerita selebihnya tak tahu ahhahaa… but memang lawa lah. Dari atas nie jugak macam view of the whole Athens. Bangunan dia semua kecik2 and sangat rapat2 and padat. Compare to dubai and  abu dhabi. Tinggi2 giler kowt dia nye bangunan.

Lepas acropolis and Parthenon stop, next we stop at the Temple of Zues. Temple nie macam pernah dengar. May be pernah dengar nama Zues ahahhaa… sebab tengok cite Percy Jackson. Ahahhaa so tahu lah sikit2 pasal Athens.  Nak masuk temple nie kena bayar but if dah masuk kat acropolis td, this included dlm ticket yg kitaorg beli tadi. So yeay… Alhamdulillah. Ingat nak kena beli lagi. Ahahhaa…

Haaaa Athens plak di namakan sempena one of the goddest called ATHENA. Sebab Athena yang menang masa competition agains POSEIDON. Hehehee.. so hasil lah ATHENS. Temple of Zues nie pown dah byk collapsed. Kesian giler. Tapi mmg kalau tgk batu dia pown pegh kukuh lah jugak yg mana ada lgi. Beribu riban tahun kowt there. I wonder kalau semua jatuh apa je attraction dorunk nie.

Sometimes macam dekat Melaka pown ada where all this ancient history building still kekal menjadi attraction where youll amaze how orang dulu2 build it without the technology that we have nowadays. Imagine kena tarik2 tali and all. Ehhehee..

Kat Athens nie ada tiga jenis bus attraction. Kita orang amik hop on hop off sebab dah biasa and tau. I mean kat aussie pown ada jugak. Plus dia ada free wifi and language yg kita boleh pilih2 so paham lah jugak apa dia explain while we on the bus.

Our third stop would be the Panathenaic Stadium. It was one of the first stadium where Olympic games started. Haaa yg nie memang wow facts. I mean tak d lah plak me nak amik tahu kan so dah alang2 kat sini why not amik tahu why this stadium is one of their attraction. Kalau ikut gambar the stadium mcm panjang giler ke blakang. Nak masuk pown kena bayar and its different tickets. So we end up snap picture je lah kat luar nie. Before nie memang tak tahu pown about kweujudan tempat nie.. ehehehee..  see when you travel you learned new stuff. Best kan?

So the stadium is our last stop. On our way back, masa walk to our home, singgah kejap dekat café near the house. Orang kata tak lengkap datang Greece tak try their greek cheese kan? So we pown try lah their cheese pie. Share je lah sebab nak try. Satu pie dlm 1.50 euro je. Sedap makan panas2 when the weather is getting colder at night. Balik tu we masak nasi putih and telur di microwave kan and eat with lebihan sambal nasi lemak pagi tadi, weiii sedap! Alhamdulillah. So that’s the end of our 1^st day sightseeing. Remember the hop on hop off tu ada free day. So esok plak tgk mana kitaorg pegi since main one dah cover.
